He has asthma, his family farm is destroyed, his house has to mortgage, he studied skating in Southern California ‘cause there are no trainers in the PH, the gov didn’t help out on the finance, and he was THE LONE SOUTH EAST ASIAN REPRESENTATIVE.
He is only 17.

Please understand that I come from a country where Pinoys ‘making it big’ are received usually two ways: “Oh he’s Filipino! That’s the only reason I care—PINOY PRIDE! NOYPI!” or “Ew, he’s Filipino, you only like him because he’s Pinoy (and I will probs proceed to hate on/ignore him)”
Please. Read about him. Be inspired not because he’s Pinoy. He’s more than that. He’s someone who will fight tooth and nail for a goal.
